    Internships

    Vocational Education at TOP is just the beginning; it teaches students the job skills they need to enter the workplace. Internships are the next step.

    The King County School-to-Work (S2W) program aims to help students with developmental disabilities leave school with a job and a seamless transition to adult life and support services. Students work with an Employment Specialist who will partner with the student's team of educators and collaborate with parents and the adult service system to help the student find a good job match before they leave school. The S2W program offers training, benefits planning, and resource coordination for students and families enrolled in the program.

    SSI is a federal income supplement program funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes). It is designed to help aged, blind, and disabled people, who have little or no income; and it provides cash to meet basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter.
