Back to School 2022-2023

I first wanted to welcome you all to 2022-23 school year. My name is Christa Ernst and I looking forward to my first year as Principal at Kentridge High School. The past few years have been challenging in a variety of ways, but the Kentridge staff and I are looking forward to supporting all our KR families in transitioning back to a school year that we all hope feels a bit more normal. 

Here is important information regarding the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Enclosed you will find a variety of information important to you and Kentridge as we prepare for the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Information covering:

• Class schedules
• School pictures
• ASB purchases
• Parking passes
• Open House
• Fall sports

Please take a few minutes to read through all the enclosed information. If you have questions about anything, please call Kentridge at 253-373-7345. We look forward to seeing you for the first day of school  on August 25!

Schedules

Incoming freshman received their class schedules at LINK Day Orientation on August 19. All other students will be able to view their class schedules on Skyward on August 24^th.

School Pictures

School and ASB pictures will be taken on September 1 and 2, 2022. All students will have their picture taken regardless of whether they purchase them or not for their school ID. Picture purchasing information will be sent to you directly from our photographer, O’Connor Photography.

ASB and Yearbook Purchases

ASB cards are $30 and yearbooks are $80. Purchase them together for $100 and save $10. Students involved in Kentridge athletics and clubs are required to purchase an ASB card.

There are three options for making a payment for an ASB card and a yearbook.

• Pay online starting August 15^th.
• Kentridge High School’s website under Families and Online Payments.
• Username is student’s ID # (numbers only).
• Password is student’s last name (first letter capitalized).
• Mail in a check payable to Kentridge High School any time after August 15^th.  Complete the form below and mail with payment.
• At the Cashier’s window starting August 22^nd.

KR PTSA

The Kentridge PTSA plays a key role in making KR a wonderful place. Your membership and purchase of KR spirit wear are great ways to support the PTSA. Spirit wear and membership information will be readily available at KR’s Open House on September 14.

PARKING PASS INFORMATION

Please check the school website for more information on parking passes in mid-August. From August 26 through September 3, juniors and seniors may park at Kentridge on a first-come, first serve basis. Once the lot is full, students will need to find alternate parking. Please be aware that The City of Kent has implemented a Residential Parking Zone in the Jason Lane, Shadow Run and Glencarin Div. 1 neighborhoods to the south of 208^th. To avoid being ticketed or towed, please observe the zoning restrictions in these neighborhoods. As always, students are encouraged to carpool starting on the first day of school.

Open House

Please plan to join us at our in-person Open House which is scheduled for Wednesday September 14^th starting at 6:30pm. More information will be given as we get closer to the date.

Fall of 2022 Athletic Registration

We look forward to our NPSL fall, winter, and spring schedules next school year. We have opened FamilyID for fall sports registration on June 1. Fall sports include Boys & Girls Cross Country, Football, Boys & Girls Golf, Girls Soccer, Girls Swimming & Diving, Boys Tennis, and Volleyball.

Again, this School Year, ALL school fines must be paid in order to be approved for a sport during the 2022-23 school year and beyond. Families can check online to determine if the student-athletes have a fine and what the amount is.
