Principal Pogson

  • Welcome!

My name is Pam Pogson, and I am the proud principal of Panther Lake Elementary. I am entering my fifth year here at Panther Lake. They have been quite the years and we have all learned many new skills throughout those years. I expect 2023-2024 to be a fantastic year of continued learning for your students as well as the staff and community here at Panther Lake!

Here is our vision and mission that drive our work at school:

Vision: At Panther Lake Elementary we envision an inclusive community where ALL students, families, and community members are welcome, empowered, and challenged to be successful both socially and academically.

Mission: We are a Kids@Hope school. We are committed to celebrating success in all students and supporting their academic and social growth.

In the 23-24 school year we will be focusing on building a reading culture. There is a new reading curriculum being rolled out by the district and we will be focusing on building the habits of reading with our students. We will be focusing on growth towards our goals all year long!

Panther Lake has some of the best and most diverse staff in the district. They work long and hard to deliver the best instruction and to meet students where they are to ensure that growth is made every day.

We will continue to be a breakfest after the bell school. That means that breakfast will be available free of charge to all students for up to a half hour after the bell rings. Our bell hours are 8:45 am to 3:25 pm and on Wednesday's 8:45 am to 1:25 pm.

We look forward to this coming year and our focus on learning and meeting our students' learning goals! We know you are sending us your very special children and we need to work in partnership with you! If you are interested in helping at school, please get in touch with your child's classroom teacher. If you would like to serve on one of our school committees, please let me know. We welcome parent input!

    Sincerely,

    Pam Pogson
