Tim Clark

  • Meet Director Clark

Tim Clark was elected as the District 4 Director in November 2021 and is entering his second term serving on the Kent School District Board, where he previously served in 2009. Tim was a long-time educator in the K-12 system in the Bremerton, Edmonds, and Kent School District. He has also served as a community college instructor at Green River College and Highline College. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Seattle University and a Master of Arts in American Studies from Pepperdine University.

Tim ran for the Kent City Council, where he served for 16 years. Directly after his term on the Kent City Council, he chose to run for the Kent School Board back in 2009, where he was elected to the board by voters. During his time on the Kent City Council, Tim was one of the four votes that led to the construction of Kent Station and the revitalization of the Kent city core. Furthermore, he was one of the votes that led to building an ice-skating rink in Kent. He was closely involved in the eventual construction of the ShoWare Center, which impacts the Kent School District community through graduation events and other community events across the city of Kent.

Tim hopes to be of service to the Kent School District after the pandemic has caused many changes to the K-12 system. Tim's primary goal is to support teachers to be the best they can be. He is focused on helping students after a year of remote learning to grow the skills they learned and apply them to the in-person learning environment.

Tim loves to read in his downtime and tends to gravitate towards non-fiction books due to his love for history.
